Thanks for taking the time to visit. I’m excited that you’re considering becoming part of my first commercially published book!
I already have most of the book written, but I'd like to include a few in-the-trenches lessons from my network and loyal blog and ezine readers. This is a great opportunity for you to market yourself to thousands, and hopefully millions, of people all over the world. My way of saying thanks for your support and sharing the love ;-)
Here’s where I could use your help…
I’m looking for concrete examples of success or failure in any realm of business networking, whether in person or online. I’m defining business networking as the process of building and maintaining relationships to grow your business, win more customers, or advance your career.
I'm looking for stories in the following areas, but if your story doesn't fit any of these six, send it along anyway. You never know!
- What networking strategies, tools, technologies, and resources etc. do you use, how do you use them, and how have they helped you?
- What remarkable ways do you connect with people, follow up with them, or keep in touch?
- What amazing things has your network helped you achieve?
- How have you helped the people in your network reach their goals?
- When did networking not work? What do you think went wrong?
- Did you ever have an aversion to networking? What did you do to get over it, and what have you been able to achieve because of it?
I’m most interested in unique approaches, and not another tip about joining your local chamber of commerce or BNI group. Nothing against either of course, but most people have heard this advice before. However, if you have an unusual way of networking within these groups, then send it in!
And keep in mind that while opinion is great, I know our readers are going to want to hear about your results. If you say that Twitter is an awesome tool for networking, give us a specific example of how it helped you get business or achieve a goal.
Okay, here are the instructions, please follow them carefully…

Greetigs from india. When trying to cordinate meetings calls etc vs various time zones always take the extra effort to list the meeting time in both local time and you partners time. Everyone appreciates it and also gets everyone understanding the local times. BTW this is being sent off my blackberry and while in india.
