After Scott Bradley of Networking Effectively commented on my recent post "Niche Networks," it got me thinking that it would be a lot of fun to get comments from my blog readers on the niche networks you'd like to create, or see created.
It's great to be able to connect with folks with similar interests, and the narrower the interest, the deeper of a bond you feel. It's one thing to be part of a women's entrepreneur group, for example, but a whole other experience to be part of a women's entrepreneur group of independent consultants in Australia. There's built-in empathy and understanding of one another because you face more similar challenges than non-consultants or consultants in other countries.
My ideal niche network would bring together folks who love to search for great food experiences when they travel. I started a new blog The Jet Set Gourmet this summer during my amazing 3-week trip to Asia, but sadly, I haven't had too many exciting food experiences to blog about since :-(. I'd love to be part of a niche network that would allow me to live vicariously through other people's food and travel experiences during the times of the year when I'm just too busy to get away, as well as give me ideas for future vacations.
Which niche network would you like to see? Who knows? Some of them might already exist, so if you know of one that someone has mentioned, be sure to tell us!

For me...as far as niche networks go...I focus a lot of my time networking with others who have a passion for entrepreneurship and building life long synergistic relationships on into the future.
As far as another network I would like to see is a local group in any area that I live that loves roller coasters...As a roller coaster nut...I love talking about and riding all of the new rides that come out every year.

A roller coaster group. What a great idea!
I saw an article today in The New York Times about a niche network called Dogster, a social networking site for dogs!
